When most people think about the state of Connecticut, they think of it as the ancestor of the Bush family and a center of the insurance industry and banking. While those are all true, the State Constitution is also home to several other industries, such as heavy transport, agriculture, chemicals and plastics. So it should not be surprised when the scholarship is available in this state to reflect this diversity.

The state’s basic scholarship is called the Capitol. While it does state it is only available to the top 20% of any high school class, it then states it decides who gets the money first based on need. On the plus side, the applicant can use the award towards any Associate’s or Bachelor’s program they care to, and it can range from $500 to $3,000 a year.

From there, like a number of other states in New England, Connecticut has an incredible number of scholarships. In fact, the main organization that handles them, the Community Foundation Program, personally boasts it administers over 250 different ones. They can be anything from one of the state’s counties helping an exceptional student in one of its townships to private societies rewarding a high school students electing to go in one academic discipline or another.

Not all the scholarships in the Constitution State are tied to Foundation Program. The national organization Professional Women in Construction awards three women inside the state scholarships to study professionally-related fields. This includes going for Bachelor’s in architecture, engineering or other construction-related occupations. The amount varies depending on the school, circumstances and overall costs.

There are also scholarships for various ethnic groups. As Connecticut has a very large Portuguese community, it has set up a scholarship fund for the best and brightest of their nationality. Each year it hand out four awards of $1,000 each to a high school student of Portuguese descent to the college degree of their choice. Then there’s the EJ Josey Scholarship from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association. It provides two African-American students scholarships of $2,000 each towards pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in library science. It is an essay competition and the winner(s) must go to an Association-approved program.

If that isn’t enough, there is the Connecticut Association of Latinos in Higher Education Competitive Scholarship. Besides being of Latin descent, the student must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher. The applicants must also be involved in the education of fellow Latinos in one capacity or another and be a Connecticut resident for a least one year. If he or she qualifies, he or she will get $1,000 for an accredited Bachelor’s program of choice.

The University of Connecticut is amongst the thousands of responsible entities across the country that are making efforts to utilize biodiesel fuel, a clean burning fuel source produced from domestic, renewable resources.

Connecticut is one of the states the comprise New England in the Northeastern United States. A great deal of the state has a coastline along Long Island Sound which gives the state a temperate climate. A strong economy in the state, and the fact that many people live in Connecticut and commute into New York City, give the state the highest per capita income median household income of any state in the U.S.A.

When it comes to residential real estate, Connecticut is the state with the largest preponderance of high dollar properties, second only to California. This particularly is the case in such Connecticut communities as Greenwich which sports some of the most expensive pieces of residential real estate to be found anywhere.

Due in no small part to the higher than average disposable income available to a sizable segment of the population, Connecticut is home to some of the most cutting edge and technologically advanced medical and healthcare centers to be found anywhere in the world. This includes high resolution imaging systems that are designed for such procedures as heart scans and body scans. Beyond heart scans and body scans, more specialized procedures such as mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry are available to residents of Connecticut utilizing the very latest technology.

Indeed, because of the fact that the very latest equipment and procedures associated with mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry are available in Connecticut, many people actually actually travel from points beyond (including New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania) to take advantage of what is available in Connecticut in this regard. The same holds true for procedures such as body scans and heart scans available at medical and healthcare centers in the Constitution State today.

Commercially, Connecticut is a state known for the manufacture of transportation equipment. In addition, the insurance industry has deep roots in the state. The same holds true for financial and related services. Chemical, pharmaceutical and scientific instruments round out the list of major businesses operating in Connecticut at the present time.

Because of the fact that a good deal of the state is in close proximity to New York City, a great deal of the cultural and entertainment life of the residents of Connecticut intimately is connected with Manhattan and other Big Apple locales. However, there exists a thriving live theater and music scene in the state itself. In addition, museums and galleries of different types are also gaining audiences all of the time in the state.

Finally, recreational opportunities abound in Connecticut, including a number of outdoor activities and sports. In addition, there are a number of professional and semi-professional athletic teams located in the state that have garnered solid reputations in the region as well as nationally.

Milford Connecticut is known as “A Small City with a Big Heart,” a sentiment that clearly reflects the city’s character. Sailboats, yachts and motorboats drift in and out of this scenic harbor city. An expansive town green graces the town center. Milford has always encouraged the preservation and restoration of older homes which has helped maintain the charm of this traditional New England town.

The Marina at the riverfront downtown is a beautiful place to watch the boats come and go, or to take a walk along the docks. Definitely one of the most scenic and charming parts of Milford. The Summer Night by Harbor Lights Concerts Series is a special treat!

In August of each year, Milford celebrates the Oyster Festival which is both a typical town fair as well as a culinary celebration of the town’s location on the Long Island Sound and its rich shellfish grounds. The festival takes place around the Milford Green, near the center of town, as well as all over the downtown area. It features a variety of events including kayak and canoe races, a classic car show, crafts and musical performances.

A popular destination for saltwater fun, Milford has several marinas, boat launches and city beaches. With over 17 miles of beautiful coastline, it is not surprising that boating and beaches are very popular. One of the most popular events in Milford is the annual Sand Castle Contest that draws hundreds of participants who create sculptures that emerge from the beach.

Popular outdoor destinations for you to see are the Silver Sands State Park and the Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center at Milford Point. Located on a barrier beach, the Smith-Hubbell Wildlife Refuge & Bird Sanctuary is next to the 840-acre Charles Wheeler Salt Marsh and Wildlife management Area at the mouth of the Housatonic River. The Audubon Center provides unique hands-on environmental educational and outdoor adventures for people of all ages.

For the children and young at heart, Smiles Entertainment Center is a year-round entertainment facility features a kids kingdom, a video arcade with ski ball and pool, and a music atrium. Seasonal activities include kiddie park, batting cages, bumper boats, midway games and miniature golf. The Ice Pavilion offers skate rentals, league play, and collegiate games. Other recreational opportunities for kids include playgrounds, a popular youth center, ice rinks, and a horseback riding academy.

Milford’s home to a diverse economy of manufacturing, retail, corporate offices, light industries and investment firms. Shoppers find all they could ever need or want in the many unique town shops, local plazas and large shopping malls, including the Westfield Mall. Everyone still calls it by its original name the Connecticut Post Mall and its one of the largest shopping malls in the state.

Residential areas in Milford offer a variety of lifestyle choices. Historic colonial homes and Victorian architecture sit side by side with sprawling contemporary structures and luxury waterfront properties. There are pleasant neighborhoods throughout town of modest single-family homes, new developments, apartment buildings and condominiums. Many new apartments and condos downtown are on the riverfront.

The spectacular harbor setting with its picturesque beaches, offshore islands, river mouth bird sanctuaries and New England charm makes Milford one of Connecticut’s best cities for your home and family.

The Connecticut Culinary Institute which is located in a suburb of the state’s capital, Hartford, is the institutions first of two branches. Since it was put up, this Connecticut school of culinary arts has been providing students with their famous flexible class schedules. Classes are held during the day or evenings so that the opportunity to learn the culinary arts is within everyone’s grasp.

A branch campus was established in Suffield by this Connecticut school of culinary arts in September 2000. It lies on 64 acres of land and is a few minutes away from the Bradley International Airport. This 2nd campus is home to a student housing facility, seven teaching kitchens, and a computer laboratory.

The main campus in Farmington was moved to downtown Hartford in March 2006 and occupies a 367,000 square-foot hotel in the area. This move has brought many great things to this Connecticut school of culinary as well as to the students enrolled in the school. Several restaurants, hotels, and entertainment establishments can be found near the campus. On top of that, six new teaching kitchens were added to the current production kitchen that the campus has. Other amenities that this Connecticut school of culinary is proud of include two amphitheatres, a computer laboratory, and a Learning Resource Center.

The Connecticut Culinary Institute boasts of small classes and skilled professors. The size of their classes is very significant as it leaves plenty of time for the faculty to focus on each of the needs of the students. This Connecticut school of culinary is geared towards a lot of hands-on-training. Students are actually provided with a lot of opportunity to carry out what they learn during the lectures.

Financial Aid is also extended by the Connecticut Culinary Institute to all qualified individuals. Applicants who wish to seek help in financing their education may consult Financial Aid Advisers who are tasked to evaluate and figure out the type of aid that each one is qualified to receive.

This Connecticut school of culinary does not limit its services to educating students with the necessary skills and training, but it also provides them with a lot of outstanding opportunities outside the school. One of these is the paid externships in numerous fine business establishments. An exposure to the real culinary industry does not only hone your skills and increase your knowledge, but most importantly, it increases your chances of acquiring a great career in culinary arts.

Connecticut’s legal procedure concerning foreclosures offers two options: foreclosure by sale, or strict foreclosure. The appropriate option is determined by the amount of home equity owner has accumulated in the property.

In those cases in which the home owner has accumulated little or no equity, the strict foreclosure rule applies. The bank or lender is entitled to the full amount of proceeds from the property. If the homeowner has accumulated some equity, however, the foreclosure by sale method applies. The judge assigned to each foreclosure case will determine which option is the correct one.

The First Step: The Complaint to Foreclose

The Connecticut foreclosures laws require that, when a foreclosure is in order, a set of procedural steps be followed. The first step is the Complaint to Foreclose, in which the bank determines the correct names of all those who hold liens against the property in question. Those parties will be included in the Complaint as defendants.

The Connecticut foreclosures statute requires that the Complaint to Foreclose be filed in the Superior Court of the County in which the property is located, indicating that the mortgage is in default and that the bank is within its rights to ask for repossession of the property, or strict foreclosure.

If the bank suffers a loss from selling a Connecticut foreclosure at auction for an amount less than what it was still owed, the bank is required to send a notification of breach and to follow the mortgage and promissory note provisions.

If you intend to file a Connecticut foreclosure, both the summons and Complaint must be served on all defendants within twelve days. If this is done, and the defendant fails to appear at the Court hearing, the court may award the plaintiff a default judgment; default judgments are also possible if the defendant neither makes no plea nor offers a defense.

A Matter For The Court

Connecticut foreclosures are initiated as soon as a lender files the necessary legal documents against the property owner. From that point the Court makes all the decisions regarding the amount of debt, the property’s actual value, and the costs involved in the foreclosure proceeding. And most importantly, the Court determines whether there will be a foreclosure by sale or a strict foreclosure.

In cases of strict foreclosure, the borrowers are given a specific day by which they must either pay off the amount owed or lose their interest in the property. All the other defendants to the foreclosure actins are given similar deadlines, and if nor payment is made, the title to the property vests in the foreclosing lender, usually after one hundred and fifty days. But the time between the judgment of strict foreclosures and the vesting date dictated by Connecticut foreclosure law is discretionary, and if the Court determines that the debtor under financial hardship, it may extend the time for repayment.

If the Connecticut foreclosure is to be a foreclosure by sale, the court will set a sale date which is usually sixty to ninety days in the future. The Court will also, within fourteen days of the actual sale, decide whether or not the terms of the sale are acceptable.

Despite being one of the smallest states, Connecticut is a state filled with variations in its landscape and cultures. Connecticut is a scenic state with mountains, forests, open farming lands, rivers, and a scenic coastline. The towns and cities range from quaint rural towns to large industrial cities along the coast. Maybe this is the time to have a agreeable vacation exploring the Connecticut tourist areas; you’ll particularly enjoy the seaside or the gold coast in Connecticut.

The Connecticut Seaside
Thirteen miles due east of New Haven there are more places to visit in the Connecticut tourist area known as Guilford.
Moreover, real legal value draws from the structural constituent and building blocks that run from the lawyer’s familiarity, practice, and counseling in order to obtain tax benefits and eventually making the most of the asset value in the market. In addition, this fully apprehends the use of the real estate interest and concerns while constantly keeping in close contact with the client’s purposes and intentions.
